Prince William and Kate Middleton wedding: Invitation not sent to Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York

Sarah Fergusonwill be watching England’s biggest event of the decade like a commoner -- in front of the television.

The 51-year-old Duchess of York -- who was caught on film trying to sell access to her ex-husband,Prince Andrew, brother ofPrince Charles, last year– has been left off the guest list for the royal wedding of Prince William andKate Middleton. She will be overseas during the April 29 ceremony, people.comreports.

"She never expected to be invited,"her spokesman told the gossip website, though her daughters,Princess BeatriceandPrincess Eugenie, are set to attend.

The royal family sent out the invites  -- emblazoned withQueen Elizabeth's insignia -- Wednesday and Thursday to 1,900 people, according topeople.com.

"Lord Chamberlain is commanded by the Queen to invite... to the marriage of His Royal HighnessPrince William of Wales, K.G. with Miss Catherine Middleton atWestminster Abbeyon Friday 29th April, 2011 at 11 a.m,"it reads.

Guests are asked to wear"uniform, morning coat or lounge suit."

As previously reported, neitherPresident Obamanor his wife has been invited to the ceremony.

Only 600 of the guests have reportedly been asked to a reception that will be held immediately after the ceremony. That number will be whittled down by half for a dinner hosted by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.

William and Kate are expected to begin their honeymoon on April 30.
