Lady Gaga shocked patrons at the Plaza Hotel’s Oak Room when she unexpectedly swanned into the nightclub with beauLuc Carlto hear her friend, jazz musicianBrian Newman, who performs there on Wednesday nights.
A source at the club tells usGagaand Carl arrived with bodyguards in aRolls-Royceand anEscalade, and entertained the audience with a little song and dance, though not in that order.
After managers drew the club's window shades to keep out prying eyes, Gaga and Carl danced and kissed in the center of the room while Newman serenaded them withFrank Sinatrasongs.
To the audience's delight, the Fame Monster then joined Newman onstage (as she did in September), to sing six numbers, including George andIra Gershwin's"Someone to Watch Over Me."
When Gaga first took the mic, our source says, she was holding a martini that she claimed was her fifth. But you couldn't say she was feeling no pain. After telling the crowd she was happy to be back at the Oak Room, Gaga said she felt bad for theCentral Parkhorses that were out in the cold. Aww.
