Tobey Maguire, Chace Crawford get in early on flight from LAX under unusual circumstances

A business-class passenger tells us the VIPs were on the 1:45flight from LAXwhen an elderly man in coach suffered a seizure and a"code red"was called.

The source said Maguire, who was in first class with his wife,Jennifer Meyer, and their two children, along with Crawford and Davis, all looked pretty scared by the situation. The pilots stepped on the gas and landed in New York almost an hour earlier than the scheduled 10:15 p.m. arrival.

Hip-hop headcase

Frank Pellegrino, owner of famedEast Harlemrestaurant Rao's, opened a Tuesday dinner with a plea for mercy. The event, Vegas Uncork'd by Bon Appetit, had gathered food luminaries for a celebratory dinner, and Pellegrino claimed he hadn't seen the guest list, which includedAdam RapoportandJean-Georges Vongerichten, until just before the meal."Be easy on us, you critics!"he told the crowd. Perhaps he was referring to more than food. Pellegrino fired up the jukebox and sang"My Girl"and"That's Amore."No stranger to the spotlight, his career includes a stint on"The Sopranos."

Comedy enthusiasts who caught one ofLouis C.K.'s seven sold-out shows at Carolines Comedy Club last weekend are still talking about his brilliant looks at modern life: Like the guy handing his subway seat to a woman, only to give her a face full of crotch the rest of the ride. Better yet, track down his so-funny-it-hurts tale of a terror flight to LaGuardia onYouTube. Just don't ingest any liquids while you watch.
