Betty White: Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan are'ungrateful'actors who'abuse'their fame

Charlie Sheenmay not realize it, butBetty Whiteis really the one who's"winning."

The legendary actress had a few choice words for Sheen and others of his ilk– including one Miss Lindsay Lohan – who seem to be foolishly turning their fame into infamy.

"I cannot stand the people who get wonderful starts in show business, and who abuse it,"White told London'sDaily Mail."Lindsay Lohanand Charlie Sheen, for example, although there are plenty of others, too."

"They are the most blessed people in the world and they don't appreciate it,"the 89-year-old said.

And while White and her former sitcom co-stars"considered ourselves lucky to be on the box, never complained if a critic didn't like us, dressed modestly and were always on our best behavior in public,"she pointed out that many in Hollywood can't say the same today.

"They party too much, don't learn their lines, are unprofessional and they grumble about everything. I think they are terribly ungrateful,"White said.

The"Hot in Cleveland"star, however, wasn't quick to criticize without giving some advice as well. The biggest key:"Respect your profession."

"There is an enormous population out there, who would sell their souls to do what you do,"she said."It's an amazing life, so make sure you appreciate every minute of it."

White herself is still doing just that, more than five decades after her career began.

"I have a wild workload, but as long as my energy is good, I don't get tired. Plus, I love what I do, so it never feels like work,"she explained."I'm tremendously lucky to have good health, and I never take it for granted."

The thrice-married White also applied a similar philosophy to her love life, once she found her true Mr. Right. Though her husbandAllen Luddendied in 1981, the feisty actress isn't looking for a replacement.

"Once you've had the best, who needs the rest?"she said."I made two mistakes before Allen, but the love of your life doesn't come along in every life, so I am very grateful that I found him."

Sounds like a winner to us.
