Former 98 Degrees'bandmate Jeff Timmons to join cast of Chippendales -- but will he strip?

Former98 DegreessingerJeff Timmonsis heating it up again…this time at Chippendales.

While the '90s boy band was known for ripping open their shirts to the enjoyment of screaming fans, Timmons won't be taking his clothes off when he joins the legendary gentlemen's strip show inLas Vegasfrom May 12th to June 5th.

"The days of your grandma sticking dollar bills in a stripper's G-string are over,"hetold TMZ.com.

Instead,he told Celebbuzz, he plans on lending his vocal stylings to the group as a guest performer and M.C.

But it's not the grandmas that loved Timmons during his heyday.

He and his bandmates skyrocketed to fame during the boy band craze that also made teen idols out of fellow pop groupsBackstreet Boysand N'Sync.

Though Timmons never reached the level of fame as 98 Degrees lead singerNick Lachey(who became a household name thanks in large part to the reality show based on his marriage toJessica Simpson), thousands of fans were ecstatic at the news he'll be back onstage.

"Oh i can only imagine how hes gonna look in booty shorts and a bow tie JUST 1 WORD YUMMMMMMY!!!!!"one fan wrote onFacebook.

Timmons said he's still got some jitters about the whole thing.

"Those guys are extremely well-built studs,"he told the gossip site."I'm just the guy next door fromOhio."
